Kim Turner Selected: Lawyers on the Fast Track
We congratulate Kim Turner, John and Terry Levin Fellow for Fair Play for Girls in Sports, for being selected as one of The Recorder's 2013 Lawyers on the Fast Track. The second annual list includes 50 California attorneys whose early accomplishments indicate they will be tomorrow's top lawyers and leaders. All selected lawyers will be profiled in a special edition of The Recorder on June 24 and will be recognized at an awards gala on June 26.
Kim joined LAS-ELC and the Fair Play for Girls in Sports project in October 2012. She advocates for equality in athletic opportunities for female youth - particularly in low-income communities - through litigation, education, and policy work. Since graduating from Cardozo Law School in New York City in 2008, Kim has practiced a mixture of employment and housing law, most recently with Bay Area Legal Aid. She received her B.A. from Brown University in 2002, where she also played for the varsity women’s volleyball team.
