Federal and state laws provide three important rights to workers: 1) the right to organize and join a labor union of their choice; 2) the right to bargain collectively for a contract covering wages and working conditions, and; 3) the right to engage in group (“concerted”) activity against the employer. In addition, labor unions must treat their members fairly.
